has anyone used there software?
i have a friend who used it and might need to visit the store and is scared to restore it.. does it brick the phone to restore it?

i should have probably written down, i am dying to do this, but i want to unlock it... she just uses it with atnt but only wanted the extra programs...
will it brick or change the ime number which the phone has, and then be turned away from the genius? and will unlocking it.. do the same?

no, restoring it does what its suppose to do, restore it. Whether it removes all traces of the ziphone app is anyones guess. But Id venture to say if you need repairs and take it to an apple store after youve done a restore they will never know it was jailbroken or unlocked with ziphone.

People have reportedly even received unlocked phones from AT&T as refurb units (because AT&T didn't bother to re-lock them, or apparently check, for that matter).

Other than the Dev Team's new system, ZiPhone is one of the premier ways to fiddle with your iPhone.

I used it the last time I jailbroke/unlocked, for the record.

but did you, take yours to the apple store to get it fixed? and they couldn't tell it was unlocked?

If you're looking for zero risk, the only option is AT&T. And keeping your phone in a protective air bubble inside the Fortress of Solitude. But even then those criminals from Krypton broke into the Fortress, so apparently the security is teh cR4PP3Rz.... So basically, you're SOL. :(
