Wow, just look at it. Complete iPhone copy...with a twist.

I was wondering how much time would pass before a major mobile devices manufacturer did a complete copy of the iPhone manufacturing techniques. Figures it would be one of those China-first organizations, like Huawei. I think Apple will not try and litigate.

It does look great.

Even in the packaging of the device there is a similarity to Apple.

Front-facing camera is 5MP, I was just wondering when the "selfie-camera" was going to increase in MP, considering the level of narcissism these days. You will have to forgive me if there is a Samsung or other brand also with a large MP front camera that I am not aware of, I am mostly Apple-centric...

No button of any kind on the front of the device. 4.7 inch screen. SD card expansion slot. Currently slimmest smartphone in the world.

Also, this phone is not available in the USA, of course. (Part of "the deal" with Apple...hence, no litigation)

----------

Test pictures look rather bland but other than that it looks like an okay device. I wouldn't forsake my GS4 for it but I can see it as a 2nd tier competitor.

The phone LOOKS vastly better than your G..whatever it is

Maybe to you but it just looks like a cheap iPhone knock off to me. Plus I'm not one to fawn over an aluminum chassis. Removable battery and micro SD card slot are bigger selling points for me.

"Fawn?"...yes, do not give exaggerated flattery to anything.

you like the plastic chassis better? I see an iPhone "C" in your future. (not that there is anything wrong with the polycarbonate, I have a soft spot for it in my heart—no pun intended)

how about the 4.7 inch screen...pro or con?

Also, you should see a 1080 video of the device, it does not look cheap, it looks exactly the same as an iPhone. It actually looks better than the 5, more like a modern version of the 4/S. Very high build quality. Customer support...who knows?

Opinions..how do they work?!?!?!

One-liners devoid of content...how do they work?

you also "sound-bited" me, and removed the rest of my post in your quote...tisk, tisk

This phone looks very cool, and Apple could use a dose of "step-it-up" in the smartphone hardware world...come on, Apple.

I can't get my head around the micro usb port being on top of the phone. I like to dock my phone at night, and in the car, and this would be a PITA, unless the home screen does a full 180 degree rotate. Otherwise I reckon it would be a good handset. I have a cheapo Huawei that I play around on and it is quite decent.

You know I never paid much attention to Huawei. My only experience of using one was when my Dad got a crappy touchscreen Huawei phone from crappy MetroPCS. My perception of Huawei was not very good just like ZTE.

Just today, I finally decided to take a look at it.

WOW! It looks fantastic! Front and back. Yes, they took design cues of iPhone 4 /4s but Huawei wasnt stupid enough to put a fingerprint magnet shatter prone glass back. Every inch of the Ascend P6 feels premium and the custom UI was very fast and responsive.

I think it could be the most underrated beautiful phone of this year. Thin, light, sleek. Packs an excellent 5MP FRONT facing camera. Good value for your money.

I was also impressed by the build qualilty and materials used from the Ascend Mate right next to the P6. A phablet at 6.1 inches but packs a 4050mAh battery similar to the Asus Fonepads. I'm interested in both of them. P6 for slimmness and design. Ascend Mate for a large battery that can outlast even the Samsung GNote II and Mega.
