Their products are selling all over the world except North America, still they are behind pretty close to apple at number 3 spot. The prices are high as the saying goes 'Huawei in china cater for the rich and Xiaomi for the poor'. They will still sell their GSM phones unlocked in US though. Just the same tactics as One plus 5 is doing.
Canadian carriers are selling Huawei P10 and P10 Plus, P10 Lite and Nova Plus.
Huawei itself are not pay attention to Canadian Market. We do not get Huawei Mate 10 and Mate 10 Pro.
My Huawei Mate 10 was brought in China while i visit my families
Huawei is doing good all over the world except North America. In US, it is considered as national security risk, this is why AT&T pulled out its contract because FCC intervention. A phone can be security risk? It is the Apple home market, someone does not want to let others have a piece of pie. Anyway Huawei is closing in on Apple to be second in sales volume the world over. It is not quality that counts anymore.
Cisco is their network rival. In US there is a deep distrust with China. Especially with decades educations during the cold war. People still think China is evil communist countries and US still think China is enemy number one.
Huawei is pretty much banned in US. However, Huawei is doing pretty sell in Canada. Huawei and Telus are in partnership and Huawei is supplying equipment to major Canadian carriers.
I am happy with my Huawei phones. I have got several phones from Huawei, including Nova Plus, P10, Nova 2, Nova 2S, P10 Lite , Huawei Honor 8, Huawei Mate 10. Every Huawei phones are decent for the price and performance is very nice
This is what surprises me. I can see how a phone being sold independently could have embedded hardware or software security risks. But with a carrier like AT&T, I don’t see how AT&T would let that sort of thing get past them. They’d be sued into oblivion if customers found out their carrier branded phone left their sensitive data open to spying.Huawei is doing good all over the world except North America. I think Huawei is one of those interesting companies whose products your always interested in, you might not buy them but you want to see what they are doing.
Still for me it’s the Pixel 2 XL or one Plus 5T for Android at the moment.
I was going to order OnePlus 5T, but I decided to wait until they fixed their website for security issue. I do not want my credit card gets fraudulent charges.
I am currently enjoying my Huawei Mate 10 and P10. Even its mid-rang P10 Lite is working great for me.
That was huge thing a while ago...Blu was caught knowingly selling phones with spyware...Started seeing these phones years ago and refused to use one when I found out it was Chinese. On a side note, I bought an android phone from a small company called Blu a couple of years ago. When I ran some anti-virus software, something kept turning up as a dangerous bit of code. When I looked it up on the net I found it was some adware that came with the phone. It might have been Chinese. I think it became a thing for Blu and damaged their credibility. Immediately sent the phone back. I am very skiddish about off company phones and Google in general. That’s why I stick to iPhones and Apple.

It is time to put Google under scrutiny because it is teaming up with Huawei.
