I'm in the market for a USB-C hub that would allow a Dell laptop and a future Apple Si Macbook. This is not to have both laptops plugged in at the same time; just a hub that would work for both. I want to be able to display to two external monitors.
1) Is there any reason to think the Si MacBooks will need a special hub?
2) If 'no', any that you recommend?

Thank you!

I plan similar thing, but will wait for AS Macbook to be released first, read reviews and let someone else try it with current USB-C docks before I buy one.
These are the options I'm considering:
1. for home setup: CalDigit USB-C Pro Dock
2. for portable needs: Satechi Aluminum Multi-Port Adapter 4K V2
Assumption is that they will have USB4 which will be compatible to current TB3 and USB-C docks.

Unlikely that they would need a special hub.

I have a Dell D6000 that works well with my MBP16 (I did update the firmware to the latest version). I run 2 x 1080p monitors with the iGPU and don't have any overheating or fan-noise issues.

As you might expect, it also works well with Dell computers :)

I would imagine that if the ASi Macs have USB ports, they'll work with USB accessories.

I fully recommend Green Cell HUB GC Connect60 8w1 for 41,95 €

I tried the Sateshi one too and returned it ... GreenCell has same quality, much better shade of color ( same as space grey - really ) "Stand" make much safer against breakage, fits perfectly

I can write more details, but I'm afraid not to be banned.
