well i had an iphone before, but shoddy service led me to canceling my contract without paying a fee.

2 days ago i check my service here and it says i will have good/moderate coverage all throughout my town/house.

here is the problem. when i check it here, it says there is no service availible!!!
should i try to activate it with my address, or use my brothers apartment adress and transfer the address up to my house???

 I'm a bit confused about what you're saying. The wireless coverage map links on both of the pages you linked to go to exactly the same page:

http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/

and I'm getting exactly the same results (because it's exactly the same page).

How about posting your zip code.

I feel I'm in a similar situation as you. Up until about 25 days ago AT&T had no coverage in this region except strictly the interstate. AT&T swallowed up CellularOne and suddenly the coverage exploded. Based on your experience I would think that if I attempted to check coverage through one page and then the other it should reflect a situation just like yours. It doesn't.
