is anyone else having a horrible experience with Hulu within in Boxee on your apple tv?

so far...i have not been able to watch one complete show without freezing up, buffering, or just stopping and requiring a complete restart.

anything else on boxee works fine...like revision3 shows...its just boxee.. its really starting to become a horrible experience

I have installed and uninstalled boxee 3 or 4 times due to this exact experience. I have considered purchasing a Mac Mini but not sure I can justify the cost just to watch the occasional show. Have asked the wife about dropping cable all together but was shot down. But my experience has not been a good one. With Disney buying into Hulu I hope that maybe Boxee might become part of AppleTV in a future software update.

one of the main reasons I decided to finally get a new mini and use it as a media server...best decision I made...I use frontrow with boxee plugin...it has given me no problems...boxee is awesome on the mini:D

I don't like boxee because it is buggy, slow, user unfriendly and unstable

I actually did a factory restore tonight since somewhere in the boxee/xbmc/hacking process I managed to lose YouTube video on the Apple TV side of things. Would play sound, but no videos.

But yeah, Hulu in boxee is not so good.

I did find XBMC to work well for many things, though I've had trouble getting Hulu to work right in XBMC. In the end I like boxee for Last.fm and Pandora mainly, but for me it's getting to be too much messing around to make it worth it. FWIW...

gcmexico... which mini did you get? did you just add the mini to your setup or did you replace your appletv with the mini? have your tried Plex...? I've read where a lot of people say Mini+Plex can't be beat... however it sounds like Plex requires a lot of tinkering....____________________________________

hulu in boxee continues to work pretty well for me. I have a slower DSL line (less than 3M)...so I generally, pause a show in the beginning, let it buffer to full, then play...never have problems this way....

I have an AppleTV but it's too limit, replaced it with the new mini 2.0ghz, maxed out the ram to 4gb, 120hd, my drobo is connnected to the mini as my media server (have 5.5tb in that)...that's all you need...I've tried every interface...Plex is beautiful, but it doesn't play anything bought from Itunes, it has a frontrow plugin, but to me that's stupid, also if your movie name is a little off you can't get it recognized, so you have to go through every movie and make sure you tag it correctly, I have over 300 movies...There are ways to get plugins on frontrow, I found that to be way easier...frontrow plays everything I buy from itunes, have the boxee plugin for Netflix and hulu, also have dvdpedia plugin to get all the info for my movies imported in, so now I can search through directors, actors, genre...etc...wish Apple would update the interface for frontrow (take 2 interface would be great), maybe even be able to buy and rent through, hopefully Snow Leopard will address that
