This weekend I finally decided to add Boxee and XBMC to my ATV. I want to be able to watch shows from Hulu on my atv, but when I started a show, the video stalls and jumps, like a slow pc running a streamed video. Do I need to change some settings? or what may I have done wrong? My ATV is running 3.0.1 OS, and the latest patchstick with Boxee. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thnks,
Blu

I've been having the same experience. I just installed ATV Flash, and the boxee/hulu component behaves just as you describe. Some of the other feeds play fine. Hopefully someone will have an answer!

it doesn't work. Boxee and Hulu have been going back and forth for months. I actually thought Hulu was completely removed, so surprised you can even play some videos (although they dont look good). To be honest with you, even when they did play, the user experience was so poor with constant frozen shows, fuzzy picture...it wasnt worth it.

Look into PlayOn from themediamall.com, it runs on windows (does work via VM on mac). You mount it as a UPnP server on your aTv, XBMC or Boxee. Myself and another buddy use it on our aTvs.

It is not free, but they have a 14 day free trial to determine if it works for you. Also, they do not list the AppleTv as supported, but it is.

Good Luck.

also wondered the same instead of trying to purchase something you can get for free? Always someone trying to make a buck!

Do you guys know where I can download the latest patchstick?

If you are running the latest appleTV 3.0.1, than the launcher for XBMC/Boxee is still in Beta. It works fine for me, but not everyone wants to jump on beta versions.

These sort of things are always covered in detail on the XBMC & Boxee forums.

Patchstick creator can be gotten here: http://code.google.com/p/atvusb-creator/

You will need the latest dmg to use with the creator: http://www.iclarified.com/entry/comments.php?enid=970#commentsanchor
