When I try and view the content on HUle TV on my Apple TV 2nd Gen, I get this message pop up. No Video Streams. SMIL did not contain video links Geo-Blocked. Can anyone help me with this? Is there a work around OR fix?? Thanks in advanbce guys, any help with this will be very much appreciated.

Hulu & ATV

If my understanding is correct, one cannot stream Hulu from an ATV. At least not as the device configured by Apple, with this a decision on their part to not allow it.

A device such as Roku will be necessary. Refer to some of the applicable threads on this forum for more information.

Thanks for taking the time to reply to my post, its appreciated. I went away and dug a little deeper and found out that Hulu wont work in the UK anyway, either on a pc or on an apple tv. So Im not 100% sure if it will work on a roku device. Shame because, as I said, the streaming quality is superb. (works for a few seconds before the error messages pop up Geo Blocked etc.

Hulu worldwide

Yes, the advice provided was US-centric; no idea on availability in the UK.

Others could provide more detail on this, but one possible way of accessing Hulu (assuming it is not available in the UK) would be to use a separate address, so that anywhere in the world it would be read as in the US, and with those permissions.

With such a set-up, one should be able to watch anything online available in the US—on one's computer. But of course still with the limitations of ATV, which anyone would experience. Roku would probably work at that point to stream to an HDTV, unless it, too, is communicating with the outside world, and bent out of shape to find itself in a location it does not approve of.

But at minimum, if determined one should be able to access Hulu anywhere, and probably as well on the big screen.
