I bought these and oh my they hurt my ears, mostly my left ear. Am I the only one? Are the Pros that much better?

Me too ... sometimes. Usually the result of wearing them too long. Also, I feel pain sometimes if I fall asleep with them in. I have a pair of Beats over the ear style and they never hurt.

I wore them just for a few minutes and I had to take them out.

i have a pair of cusotm molded ear buds w/o drivers so only for protection but I can wear then for any extended time. The generic apple products just dont fit me either. jsut as well, too expensive.

Give it time. Believe it or not, your ears will adjust. Don't over do it obviously, but don't give up either. Give it time. Your ears will indeed adjust to the shape.

If these hurt your ears, the pros will hurt them far more because they require a seal (packed in) to work. At least my opinion. I can wear AirPods all day but AirPods Pro start hurting after awhile.

I can wear my pros all day (well for as long as the battery lasts). The wired earpods that came with my iphone hurt after 5-10 minutes, provided they haven't fallen out. I think the silicon tips brace the airpods against my ears better so they aren't moving with every minute breeze. If that makes sense.

Everyone has different ears, so what works for me might not work for you. The pros have different ear tips so are adjustable unlike the normal ones.

The Sony wf1000-mx3's are the most painful ear buds I have ever tried.
