iPad Air Hyperdrive 4-in-1 USB hub & iPad Air 5 - v.poor WiFi performance

I gave my previous USB C hub to someone and bought a HyperDrive 4-in-1 device, which plugs straight onto the side of my Air 5. Looks cool. Except…WiFi performance is terrible when it’s connected. Speeds are very slow and there’s frequent disconnects. Remove it and all is golden.

Anyone having similar issues and…do I need to just chuck this and go for a different brand? Or am I doing something wrong here?

Interference. Are you using 2.4Ghz WiFi? Switch to 5Ghz WiFi.
