Am I missing something or can you not add a hyperlink in Apple Mail?

I looked all over and can’t find anything. Is this something we might see addressed in iOS 15?

??? I've always just pasted the link in the email and it gets converted to a hyperlink automatically once you send the email.

Yes it does, but can you add the pasted link to a specific word or text?

In other words, there is no 'add link' like you have in MacOS.

Oh, I see. Try this:

I just tried it and it works for me. Basically, you just copy and paste any URL into your email, them move the cursor between any two characters in the URL and type your desired text - then delete the surrounding, original URL text and you are left with your desired text as a hyperlink.

Really stupid that they don't have the ability to do this by long-pressing a word or phrase.

Thanks. It’s a rather non-elegant way that should really be addressed at some OS update.
