If Steve Jobs COULD implement any or all of the "reportedly missing" features we have discussed recently, maybe if we ranked them via a POLL that or those high ranking features would be included...

haha thats funny, I know what you voted for cjandnw! since its 50/50 between my vote of itunes downloads, and your vote for mms err at least it was a second ago!

3G all the way. That's the one thing that I'd hate to lose by swapping.

3G ... I was debating between 3G and flash support. I live in a major city, so getting wifi isn't a problem. But still, was a hard choice and I still had to go 3G on it.

16GB HD ?? No thanks, that would kill the battery. 16GB storage ? Sure, I would take that.

You guys are never happy are you? I was ready to buy in January... today's notice was just a plus. Why do we need to ask for more?

I'm VERY happy, amp'd, excited, brimming with the same anticipation I had when I was 5 on Christmas morning! I will be at my AT&T store no later than 4PM on the 29th.

I'm new to Apple, but my understanding is that some of the things on the wish list I posted COULD be added as software / firmware updates. Plus, I REALLY like MMS. :D

I live and work in Times Square/Midtown West, but I had major problems connecting successfully to wi-fi with a Nokia Internet tablet. Also, isn't wi-fi's range limited to hot spots?

I'm not complaining though. I am excited about the iPhone, but I have company on the 28th, so maybe that's a sign for me to wait because otherwise I'd be camping out with everybody else.

Adding real 3rd party applications would unleash the power of the beast. Look at all the apps for Palm, WinCE and RIMs. It's a good portion of what makes them so popular and damn useful.

I'm surprised none of yall are throwing a tantrum over it not having a memory card slot! I wouldn't buy a smart phone without one. I can't believe it doesn't.

If it has a big enough HD, why would you need a memory card?

Well, I'm in the group of folks that think it doesn't, but for the folks that think it does: Why wouldn't you want a small feature that even the cheapest phones have these days? You're buying one of the most expensive phones on the market and missing a key expansion feature.

what's wrong with 8 gigs? That's enough to put 4 full length movies and 1000 songs... which you would never even come close to in a full charge. Plus, if you charge it at your computer anyway, it's really easy to swap out what's on the phone to get you ready for the next day.

having more storage would be like going on a plane ride and bringing your laptop and full DVD collection. Just pick a few that you might want to watch and save yourself the trouble. 8 gigs is MORE than enough for anyone. You just have to let go of the idea of having your entire media library in your pocket. While a good feeling, it's completely unnecessary.

Might as well dump the entire line of iPods then

I suppose it would be a nice idea to be able to expand the memory, but I think they should just make the internal HD large enough for people to not have to buy extra memory. Too much "stuff" to keep track of. Isn't that the point of the internal HD? So we don't have to carry around CDs or cassettes anymore? You might as well just get a CD player that plays MP3 CDs if you want to carry extra stuff around.

But having the extra option would be nice. If it WAS there I wouldn't complain. Probably wouldn't use it, though, but that's just me.

I'd take MMS, edit Word, Exel and view PDFs , and Flash on iPhone.

But I'd like 16Gbs storage the most, and I don't even think that 8Gbs is a problem!

in addition to GPS, it needs its own nav software instead of relying on google. also, a xenon-flash for the camera that could be used as a flashlight would be awesome.

I eat batteries, and always have a spare in my bag. The fact that you can't swap 'em out in the iPhone is a sad surprise to me!
