I think you would have to be over a certain age range to not be able to type fast and easily on the virtual keyboard.

Once you get the notion of not looking at every letter you type and just tapping "within the general vicinity" of the letter's location then you start flying on this thing. I need to find more excuses to txt and email. :p :p :p

does anyone else less than 3 their iPhone's keyboard?

yeah, i certainly love it now. took me like 3 days to start using my thumbs, but man, i love writing out msgs on it now. i go so quick i think oh man, that's gonna turn out all f***ed up, but nope, auto corrects anything that went wrong and i hit send. it's great!:D

Or size.

I'm 6ft3 230# and have fat thumbs that even the auto-correcting feature can't help out...

I'm 5'11 and 300lbs, and I can type fine.. I can use my thumbs in landscape mode, in vertical mode I type with 1 or 2 fingers on my right hand.

Some words I can hammer out really quickly using the single handed approach, it just takes a small amount of adjustment to be able to type efficiently on the iphone keyboard, I was pleasantly surprised with how easy it is to type on the virtual keyboard.

i was thinking of a situation where the touch screen keyboard would kinda suck.

what if you got shot and all you had was your iphone, and some idiot tries to call 911 on your iphone and doesnt know how to?

i mean, granted...getting into the phone app requires some explaining to a non iphone user.

Majority of the people I've shown my phone to just gloss over at the icons and are afraid to touch it

Try real hard not to get shot then!!! ;) Seriously I think that is just the newness factor. Once these things have been out a while this won't be a problem.
