It's gorgeous on retina displays. Very well done.

I stand by the opinion that it looks off on standard displays though.

I like it on standard displays compared to windows and previous versions of os x, but I admit if I were to see a retina iMac I would regret it :)

I love the aesthetic. A few more patch releases and this will be the next snow leopard.

Me too I thought I will miss Mavericks but I embrace the change and now I love it! And I have zero issues or bugs luckly :)

What's your machine ? and which model ?
It's a Macbook Pro Retina 13'' Late 2013, 8gb ram and 256 ssd. Runs great on Yosemite, no wifi issues nor graphical glitches, its smooth.

The only thing I hate is the new safari's private mode

I'm a bit off-put by some of the harsh colors (the buttons in particular), but I'm running in dark mode, so that's not an issue anymore.

I can't see ever going back to the way things were, regardless of the design changes, because the interconnection of devices is such a huge thing for me. There are some things I think Apple can push further on, but overall, they've already changed my expectations of how my rMBP, and iPhone and iPad and iMac should work together.

I have to agree that it looks good, however on standard displays, it doesn't look half bad. My Mac Pro has a 1080p display (24") and it still looks good. A 13" non-Retina MBP looks decent.

Funny, I upgraded that 13" MBP and when I showed it to the owner (family member who hated iOS 7's interface for a while) they said they loved it. Releasing iOS first then OS X with the new interface was a good way to go IMO.

Long live Aqua 3! (I honestly have no idea what else to call the interface now)

Have to agree the look has really grown on me. Heck, I'm running Yosemite on a 7 year old 24" iMac and I like the way it looks. Can't wait to see it on the retina iMac I plan on ordering as soon as the holidays are over and I recover some funds, LOL.

At first I wasn't a fan entirely but in some instances I do like it. I am starting to get really annoyed at changes in apps that didn't need to be changed or moved. But otherwise I'm ok.
