so has anyone else felt like every where they use there iPhone they have to try and hide it. The iPhone is such a useful device I always can find a reason to use it any where I go. But when I wip it out to check the weather or something I always get ohhh is that an iPhone. I feel like a celebrity people are always coming up to me.

i had to go to my nephews graduation party and my iPhone was more popular then him! I ended up giving the John Appleseed demo 4 times!!! I just got back from food shopping and when I was there I was using it and found myself kind of keeping close to me and looking over my shoulder for eyes raping my precious iPhone!

yes, when i went to lunch on saturday, the table next to me wanted to see it, the waitresss, etc...i keep it under wraps as much as possible so i dont get jacked :)

Can you imagine how the sales folks in the Apple Stores feel having to give that friggin' demo a million times a day????!!!!!

At the movies someone looking over my shoulder commented but other than that not many

i was at the car wash yesterday and an iPhone special came one the car wash's TV (i wasn't aware since i was watching a tv show) and like 10 people walked over and just stared at me.

Word of advice...don't pull it out to check stuff while IN the apple store. Seems even the employees have been somewhat deprived as I ended up with a croud about the same size as the demo dude in which half of em were store staff.

oy I feel the same way!! I used my iPhone to make a call, as it is MY phone and I have people constantly asking to see it. It's so annoying!

I had the same experience in the Apple Store tonight just before they closed.. Apparently it had finally slowed down and a few of them were asking me all kinds of questions because they said they had not even had a minute to check them out since they arrived.. I was more than happy to sit and play with them for a few minutes- those employees at the Sagemoore Apple store in Marlton NJ did one of the finest product launch jobs I've ever seen in my life.. I'm not a patient person when it comes to lines and crowds- which is why I decided to go at 6 on Friday and see how the line was moving before I committed.. The line was moving fast, they were pleasant, and genuinely excited like the rest of us.. I don't know, in a weird sort of way I felt like I was paying them back for making my iPhone experience much better than I could have anticipated..

For anyone other than friends and family though, I'm keeping it on the downlow..LOL..

I went back by the AT&T store to show it off! They haven't even seen one! They were all impressed and are considering getting one for themselves. Of course, they don't know anything about the possibility of their ability to do so.

Nope, I've had mine out in Starbucks, Best Buy, Hannaford (grocery store), Borders, nobody has said anything. Of course, I have kept it pretty close to me HAHA.

ya, i was at caesars palace in vegas and pete rose was there. It seemed that some people were more interested in the iPhone than him, haha :)

i enjoy showing mine off i showed all my coworkers today and they were like drooling

the only thing im sick of is everyone i mean everyone asks HOW MUCH WAS IT? dont u think its a little rude idk im just sick of answering them and then they look at me like im nuts i love my iphone i would gladly do this all again but im just sick of people asking how much it was

that how it is with mine, i swear i've been trying to flash it just to see peoples reaction and i get nothing, its like they have no idea, i've been bugged by my friends more than anything cause i told them i was getting it but for me being in public and not one person saying anything or whispering or anything has actually bothered me slightly, its a goddamn iPhone i want to hear at least one ahhhhh before it gets into everyones hand and i have no star power left....lol

AMEN BROTHER!

I am appalled by how many people ask me how much I paid. Usually I politely request that they contact their local retail store and talk to them about prices...

Same thing happened to me...I was at a friends grad party yesterday and EVERYONE was interested in seeing it. I felt kind of rude not letting everyone see it right away because I literally just took it off of the dock after activating and syncing it and walked over to the party. I've been called a celebrity for having it too...very funny I think.

I feel a little uneasy about using it in public. Part of it I think there's a stigma of such an expensive phone. Leading up to and through the launch, I kind get the collective impression that a $600 phone is model of excess. It kind of bugs me actually since no one bats an eye at $600 PS3, $250 shoes or $200 purses, etc, but some how $600 "just for a phone" is out of bounds. I probably won't tell anyone at work I got one. The other part of it is with all the hype, I don't really feel secure flaunting it. It just seems begging for someone to follow me out to the parking lot.

Yeah, I've been hiding it too. It's in a pocket of my bag, closest to me, resting against my hip. I need to get one of those rubber/silicone things for it, not for protection, but because then it'll look like one of the video pods. I'm just glad the buds enable answering calls.

I think I'm screwed. I got on the news twice and had a large picture on the front page of our newspaper wearing the shirt of the baseball team I work for locally.

It's gonna be a busy night...of showing off the hardware.

I fully expect half of my day at work tomorrow being demos of the iPhone to co-workers. I'm not too keen on it though, because there are a lot of people I work with who dont have $600 to give me if they were to handle it and break it (drop it, etc).

I also need to figure out what case I want to get for it. I might make a stop sometime at lunch tomorrow to see if they have any cases.

I had at least 5 people come up and ask for a demo... of course i do but always mention that if they drop it I will kill them
