That video is much, much worse than what the iPhone records.

But it's possible it's an iPhone. He could have e-mailed it to the station, which I think shrinks the file somewhat. The station then edited it and re-compressed it for the web using their own format which degrades it again. There's no reason you couldn't make iPhone video look like this.

But that's not how it looks originally.

I've taken some decent video with my 3GS.

Def better than the vid I would have taken w/out it which is none at all.

Just like the old saying "the best camera you have is the one that's w/you"... same goes for the vid cam on your cell.

But I think it's pretty decent for first gen.
