Hi all

After visiting this website, I have decided to purchase a lovely iMac 24". At first I was worried about the monitor issues etc... but my iMac is perfect or I cannot tell whether it has problems so I am happy.

I also burn my pc and stole its lovely monitor for my iMac so now I am having 2 monitors to work with. and it is quite true that you become more productive.

Look at the pic I have attached, one screen I am working on my paper and another is for chatting, surfing the internet, and of course reading articles.

So so so so happy. I just don't understand people who are not happy with iMac such a lovely unit... :D

You can see my little sister there on Skype (sorry sis !!!) :)

P.S. Please comment whether should I shift the iMac position or even show me your 2 screens iMac I would really appreciate :) :) :)

ooo shiny! no offense to you but im getting sick of people getting worried about Mac issues before they buy them. the majority of new purchasers have a perfect Mac like you but the people who have problems tend to be more vocal (or use there fingers more!).

its good to see users posting pics of there new beasts/toy. have fun!

trying out the webcam i see? is that girl in a different country or just around the corner? also that is the plant widget... does it grow?!

Well the person in the webcam is my sister who is 10000 Kms away from me so no she is not around the corner !!!

Yes the plant widget does grow, you just have to put the cursor on it for a while but it takes time for it to grow though or maybe I don't look after it as I should. After all this plant cannot die and that is what I like :p

Ohh I am planing to upgrade my iMac harddisk I know there is an instruction here but is it possible to ask the Apple shop to do it with a service charge ???

im not sure about the service charge cost but im pretty sure they will do it. it may have been cheaper if you customised your hard drive when buying it.

whats the plant widget called, i cant find it!

I think it is from Google widget. So if you go to google and search for google widget you will find it.

Do you think it will be more expensive ??? Seriously the reason I didn't buy 750 gb harddisk because I could get a harddisk somewhere else cheaper and planing to use my old one as external. Just wondering how much would it cost me for service

what i meant was the service price would be on top of the hard drive price. if you bought pre configured to 750 GB you wouldnt have to pay for service. the hard drive prices on the Apple store are pretty much the same as everywhere else. its just Apple's RAM prices are high.

keeping the original hard drive for an external is a good idea. i'd get a firewire 800/USB enclosure

Time to do it myself then  so good luck for me. If you dont see me in a week here it means my iMac has gone to heaven :apple:

Hahahaa, I am just in a :apple: world at the moment, and the hub really looks good... :D

P.S. what do you think if I put 24 LCD next to it?

I understand, I still remember what i was like when i got my imac, i kept posting things in the post your setup, literally each port of my imac!! thats how excited i was!!!

I don't want to set a new thread up but my speaker is acting a bit funny. For most of the time it sounds great but from time to time you will hear a hiss noise or not so clear noise coming from the speaker in the middle.

During I play my songs in itunes , I will hear a sec of pitch noise, is it normal??

STAY CALM, when getting a new computer, you will get scared from a problem, so im saying calm down, not saying your freaking out, just in case, do you use external's or internal's? and do you have any cellular phones nearby?

CALM DOWN 1.... 2..... 3..... 4..... alright i am paranoid !!!

I put the phone away and still I can hear the noise... Hard to explain especially English is not my first language, but let's say when I listen to something on my imac it will go off-tune from time to time (From stereo to Mono sound) for a sec or 2.

Its weird...

I am taking for granted that your using the built in iMac speakers, call AppleCare. Those buzz sounds usually come from phones.

Umm, I think we don't really need to see your hub. The picture will look the same;).

Speak for yourself dude. I dont mean to come off bad here, but you seem like a spoiled little 14yr old brat from alot of the stuff Ive read you say the last few says. I guess there is no other way to come off other than bad after saying that though

OP, Id be interested in the USB hub you get. Im moving to a new (refurb) 20" on saturday and will be needing a hub. In fact Ive already been looking around for something that looks good but havent found the perfect one yet.

BTW, how good are the speakers on the iMac? Some ppl say good enough, some say not good at all. Guess its all a matter of what you expect. I have some crappy Phillips ones currently with my mini. They do a good enough job for me, but if the iMacs speakers are decent I may ditch them altogether.

Nice setup BTW, cant wait for mine to get here.
