I really wanted the black MB right when they came out. I still do actually. But something keeps telling me to get the white one. I just want some people's opinions. I plan to get it before June 9.

Everyone has some amount of oil on their hands and if you wash your hands a lot, I'm assuming you lotion to moisturize them....which could lead to fingerprints as well.

You don't really seem torn, you have decided that you want the black one, so get one. Everyone on here has said to get the white one but you always have something to discredit what they are saying. It's obvious you want the black one, so get it.
I personally think paying 150 dollars for something that will show fingerprints and smudges is stupid.

I agree with everything nsknike said. IMO the white one is the much better buy, but you seem to know what you want, so go for it. None of us here are going to be using your macbook; you are. So buy what makes you happy (which seems to be the black) not what makes us here on macrumors happy.

This reminds me of when I was torn getting either the black or silver RAZR (I ended up with black; I can see how black "catches" fingerprints/marks quite easily)
I would probably go with white.
My daughter really wanted the black one for college, and I was against it until I went to the Apple Store today to check it out. After a couple of weeks on display, I expected that BlackBook to look kind of sad. I was really surprised at how well it had held up. I expected sweat stains and scratches all over it. I didn't see any marking on it at all. I really liked the matte finish, too. Nice change of pace for Apple of late.

Get the black MacBook. The one benefit of the white MacBook is that it'll hide scratches better than black (of course). Look at the black iPods and Nanos as an example. The black one looks nicer, IMO, and it hides the brown-ness that comes with keeping your hands on the palmrest and keyboard of the MB.
Enter the two-tone white and black macbook to end all the troubles. It will be $400 more than the current black model... your sanity is worth it though, right?
Regardless of price, I thought the white one looked better in person. Still, if you like the black as much as you seem, it is worth the price premium.
