I am tired of waiting

Ok, flame suit on b/c I know some of you folks will fire away for starting another 4850 thread.

This will be my very first ever mac. An imac 24" 3.06. I ordered the 4850 option but am tired of waiting.

If I go with the 130 card, what will I be missing out on? I plan to do HD home movie work, touch up some photos, and the rest will be i'netting. My son is the only one who would want to game on it and he does not play high-end games IMO but that is only because I don't know what is good out there for a mac.

Whose to say there won't be issues with the the new cards?

Exactly, every new game, every new game system, new cars, just to name a few examples.

Didn't you realize that there would be a wait when you ordered? The sad thing is that you probably won't be able to tell the difference from the one you bought and one you could have picked up immediately.

Seriously, I would not but an iMac with nvidia anything (I probably shouldn't have bought this mini but I really like the tiny Mac concept) after all the trouble people keep having with the 8x00 series.

Agree!

This will be my first mac ever too. We've all been waiting for so long, don't give up now. I'd avoid everything made by Nvidia as much as possible. My Dell XPS 1330M died once last year because of the 8400M overheated. Also, I've heard too many complaints about the Nvidia GPU in Macs ever since Apple goes with them. I personally prefer ATI anyway.

Two more weeks! If no further delays...
