I am having a problem with my iphone and was told by a friend to try this forum before going all the way to the apple store.

Thanks in advance to any and all who respond!!

This morning I plugged my iphone into my macbookpro like I do often, it said there was an update and asked me if I wanted to DL the update. So I clicked the update button and walked away......

.....when I came back into the room it (itunes) said something about not having a network connection so I clicked on the ok tab to close the msg box and looked at my phone and it said emergency only and on the screen there was a picture of and itunes folder and a plug which would go into the bottom of my phone....?

now the phone will do nothing but make an emergency call and charge.

Anyone ever see this? Or know how to fix it or get it back to the way it used to be??

Thanks for readin
Lee

also I have noticed that when I try to make a call that is not a 911 or emergency call it (my phone) still knows the numbers. So if I call my girlfriend even though its in this "mode" it still knows my contacts which maybe means it can be saved......

please all who might think they know whats up please let me know.

thanks a bunch

Sounds like you need to reactivate your iPhone. With it plugged into your MBP and iTunes open, you should see the option somewhere.
