The question is what was your intention of how you would use it when you bought it? Games and videos are a small part of what people do on Macs or any computer. You're asking a very general question about what computers can be used for, for which there are a thousand answers. It seems odd you would buy a computer and then ask other people what you should use it for. What's your need for a computer?

If you're new to Macs, here's the Apple user guide to get you started:

Well the police in Dallas publish a complete list of all the calls they have ever received since the year 2019 and my last computer couldn't handle the file because there are too many rows I think. It's over 100,000 rows. But this computer did it fine. These are the two computers that I have now and don't know what to do with really except for general things.

I have this unsuccessful business where I sweep people's houses for bugs but it's not what you think. I work with divorce lawyers usually who's clients think someone is spying on them and so I go over there with my $500 little wand thingy and run it up and down the curtains and underneath the bed and under tables and desks. Just between us I've never actually found a bug and so I was going to upgrade my equipment to this set up that requires a computer but I just found out that the software will only run on a PC. I have an ASUS touch screen PC but the USB-C port doesn't work.

But yea I mean I only wanted to view that Dallas Police Data Project file because I saw this guy get arrested in front of my building and I just was curious about what it was for and I mean it was interesting to look at the file but I honestly never found the call/arrest I was looking for. My point is that I don't know what to use the computers for other than stupid endeavors like the one I just described about the police data project file.

I think I asked this back when I bought my iMac but here I am again asking what can I do with this computer?

I mean what do people use computers for besides playing games or making videos?

Working. Making money.

But in seriousness, the use cases for using an actual laptop over my ipad for me are when I need to test out things (e.g. in VMs), run software that is not apps (which is the majority) or do heavy multitasking as a road warrior.

What up do you guys think I could make money if I bought a copy of File Maker and started making apps for people and businesses and stuff because this girl that I wish was my girlfriend works for a dog walking company but she doesn't walk dogs rather she recwieves like 300 texts per day that the dog walkers send her every time they arrive or leave a dog's home to perform their duties. Her title is literally "Textmaster". I'm like listen people you put a freaking unique QR code on the refrigerator at each customer's house and then the dog walkers scan it when the arrive ans leave via an App that I'll make. Right now it's like these lazy people are fudging when they leave and arrive real bad and some controls need to be put in place.

How competitive is the dog walkers job? "Lazy people" would not do it if it was competitive. "Some controls" will most likely put them off even more.

If it is about the girl, she is probably not that into you, so it is not about the 300 texts per day anyway.

I'm not making a suggestion here but I bet that besides playing games or making videos there is a pretty large group of people that watches a **** ton of porn... and some Netflix, hulu Amazon and what not on it! O and cat videos 🙀
