So I downloaded an album on my iPhone yesterday through the Wi-Fi Store. I plugged in my phone to the computer to sync the album & it disappeared. It's not in iTunes & it's gone from my iPhone. Has this happened to anyone else?

yep. it happened to me last week actually. i bought three songs, and then the next day they were just gone. i really hate that iTunes doesn't let you redownload files. they keep track of what youve bought, but all they do is say "are you sure you want to buy them again"? seriously, even if the user was on a different computer, theyve purchased rights to owning the song on as many computers as they desire...

Well actually they haven't, they've purchased the rights to put the song on a specific number of computers. I can't remember how many, but its set out in the Fairplay agreement. And before you say "that isn't fair" take note of what other DRM agreements offer, and you'll find that Fairplay is actually pretty generous.

I reported a problem with iTunes today, we will see what happens. It may not turn out so good since I'm using the iPhone on T-Mobile.

Resolved

I headed back from iTunes today. The put a credit on my account for the album I lost. That will be the last time I buy music from my iPhone.
