I bought parallels

hello everyone, i made a good decsion to buy parallels.

now, just a few questions:
1. when i run VM it turns into full screen, what are the shortcuts do i press so that i can revert back to MAC desktop using that cool cube feature??

2. I got 2gb of ram, whats best to let Win XP mem?

3. How can i transfer movie files/ any other music files downloaded in windows VM into my mac HD???

4 How do i increase the space/decrease the space of VM?

I don't know the answer to any of your questions but would like to know whether a 60 gig macbook is too little for parrels.

2. I have 2 GB of RAM here, I gave XP 512MB seems fine for what I need.

3. You share out a drive just like any other Windows machine

4. by default the virtual HDD is designed to start off small and grow as you add apps.

Parallels is very well documented maybe you should read the manual?

I don't know the answer to any of your questions but would like to know whether a 60 gig macbook is too little for parrels.

It's not too small, but it is tight. If you strip out the OS X install (Garageband loops, languages, trial apps, printers, etc.) you will be fine.

Of course, unless you plan to install a bigger drive later on, 80GB is probably wiser and represents money well spent.

of course, then again if you're buying an 80gb hard drive separately anyways it's probably worth it to go for a 100gb 7200 rpm drive or a 120gb drive...

Hello farqueue,

1. Just like the regular windowed mode, Control+Alt gets you out of a Parallels full-screen session and back into Mac.

Apart from that I have nothing else to add but just wanted to type "Hello farqueue" and get away with it. Many thanks
