Apple ID I can change my Apple ID?

I’m an ICloud+ user and noticed yesterday that I could change my Apple ID. Sounds cool … I think.

My current Apple ID is my Gmail address. However, I’d like to change use an iCloud email address. So do I just enter it here on the iCloud website? And can I change it back if desired?
