I Cannot download High Sierra updates due to proxy.privatoria.net on port 3128



I don't have any proxy, I found this website privatoria.net but I have no idea what has to do with my computer,



I use this program Little snitch and have been blocking all traffic to privatoria.net, I have no idea why this privatoria.net is even on my computer, everything i run is stock, out of the box and I imagine it got on my computer through Safari somehow.



Please advise

If you go to the Privatoria site, it should report your status.
If it says "Protected", then you probably need to pay for that service. You have to go into your Privatoria account on that site and pay for the service - or you should see steps to remove the service from your Mac.

Just for your information, Privatoria.net is a VPN, private web browsing service that you would use to enable web browsing if you are in a location or country that limits internet access.
If you clicked the "Protect now" button on the Privatoria web site, that likely enabled a plugin in your Safari web browser.

Don't click that "Protect now" button if you are trying to remove the service from your Mac.

I tried to search for ways to remove that service, but it only tells me that I have to be registered on their site to get to that information. I'm not doing THAT.
Open your Safari, then under the Safari menu, choose Preferences. Click on the Extensions tab. If you see Privatoria listed there, remove that extension.

Download and run Malwarebytes, check to see that your Mac does not show any malware installed.

i found the problem, it was added directly in my wifi settings, can you believe it?
i went to Apple, System prefs, network, wifi, advance; proxies menu and viola!!, it said privatora.net
What a bunch of creeps!!!!

yes, not privatory though, some folder, cant remember
