Hi there, this is the first time I have had this issue with trying to reset the data usage for iMessage.

I traditionally delete all my text messages in order to clear out all the documents and data storage that phone holds onto to keep it at zero.

However even though I deleted all my messages the iPhone usage is stating its still taking up a whopping" 6.72 GB"

Please see attached screen shot for the breakdown in data.

I already reseted the phone several times and data usage doesn't return to normal, I tried using ibackupbot and other cleaning programs but it cannot find anything this big that would be eating up the usage meter.

I have iCloud turned on but I do NOT have messages synced for it.

I am out of ideas as to what to do, if I do a full restore through iTunes will it return to normal or will it still have the same information usage??

Using an iPhone 6S plus, iOS is at 12.1.4
