I'm using a 2012 MBP with Ventura and I am trying to add a file with flacs to Apple Music.
When I select the file and drag it to albums it doesn't add the file/album and again if I select album-file-import it still doesn't add.
I have tried various files with flacs inside.
Can anyone shed some light on why I can't seem to complete this task?

To losslessly convert flac to m4a I recommend XLD.
The target format must be 'Apple Lossless' (also referred to as 'alac' for 'Apple Lossless Audio Codec').
Don't be confused, the file extension is also .m4a, same as for lossy AAC encodes but the selected codec determines what is 'inside'.

Converted and added instantly, thanks
