I had over $2,600 in fraudulent charges from Leeds.uk or some place like that. Call in to get it disputed. Ok I finally get them to credit me. Today I get an email that the charge was verified with the merchant (impossible) and that my account is being closed, and to expect the charges on a future statement. I call in to ask about this and they say they can't pull up my information because my account is closed! I'm like in total panic mode right now.

So Calif
Very common = happened to me many times.

Credit card companies protects the account holder.

Account closed is good - that absolves you from having any more obligations - it's on the bank to resolve this.

You don't have to worry any more.

In the meantime, ask them to issue you a new virtual card and issue a replacement physical card.

They said they will not issue me anything. They closed my account and said goodbye - that the fraudulent charge will be added to a future statement. I'm so furious right now.

They literally just told me your account is closed so we don't have any further information. Even though their emails say to call in for more information. I just can't believe this has actually happened. I have never had a credit card company force me to pay fraudulent charges, then close my account.
