I have no filters on cydia and I still can't find it.

I didn't do any upgrades for cydia or the 3rd party programs only because it crashed more after I did it.

Should I restore my phone?

What is intelliscreen?

Is there a tutorial for Cydia? I'm new to this world of iPhone...

Thanks a lot!

Would you guys pay for this?

the idea of it is great...the use of it in the practical world is wonderful..BUT it lags up my phone like crazy..and it is not always uptodate ..and sometimes doesnt even load until you let it idle on the lock screen for a couple of seconds...

i deleted after 3 days..lags up the phone too much..and now my phone is much snappier.

Although i've noticed that intelliscreen can cause delays, especially in loading on the lock screen, overall it is the number one app that I use. I paid the full $19 for the license (and yes, i know i didn't need that much), but the updates have been great. you can now launch the news articles directly (without having to go to safari as originally designed) and you can open and delete texts and emails directly from intelliscreen.

I really like it but i'm sure there are many that find it doesn't fit their needs.

I agree that Intelliscreen has caused delays, crashes and general sluggishness. So much so that I had actually disabled it after installing the 2.x firmware. Today I installed their newest version though and so far have found it pretty stable and I haven't noticed any of the sluggishness associated with the older versions. Anyway if you haven't updated it you might want to give the new version a try.

I just did the update for intelliscreen today and it totally locked my phone up!

After I unlock my phone it puts a transparent black screen over my page and I can't touch anything, but what's on my dock..

To get around this I shut the phone off and restarted it. Before it booted up I quickly tapped cydia and uninstalled it.

v2.23 (the most current) of Intelliscreen is still having reported issues of sluggishness and lockups, although 'not as many'. There's hope :)

I'm on MMi all the time (where the dev is responsive to threads), and am patiently waiting for a stable version of IS for 2.1 iPhone software like it was for v1.1.4......

It is a very good program for the $, IMO*. I think v2.1 threw a lot of curves out there for j/b software devs.

*And so does Apple. If you weren't aware, they recently filed for patents on some features that are very 'Intelliscreen' looking.....no idea when they plan on implementing, if they plan to charge for it, etc.

If that is true, I think Intelliborn has a great argument against the issuance of such a patent (or to invalidate it if issued) based on "prior art" -- clearly, they came up with it first. If Apple wants to utilize the concept, they should let Intelliborn into the App store, plain and simple. Not sure Intelliborn has the assets or desire to litigate this, but IMHO there's no way Apple gets a patent on these features.

Here's the original link to AppleInsider quoted on MMi....don't remember seeing it here on MR.

I agree. IS either needs to be in the App Store, or maybe Apple buys IS (or it's intellectual property on this)...
