When you install Status Notifier, or whatever it's called. It puts an SMS icon on the top bar telling you that you have an unread message..

I uninstalled it and there still is an icon on my task bar telling me I have an unread SMS, but I don't....

Any ideas?

Yes, I have.

I can't get rid of the SMS icon... Everything else is gone.

Can I SSH into the phone and delete the picture image for it? Where is it located in SSH?

The icon is red whenever I am in a game or app.. If that helps..

Is there a way to beat this without restoring?

I would install it again, and then ssh to private/var/mobile/applications and it might be in there. The folder names of each are are just jumbled characters so open each one til you find it. Then I would delete that entire folder and do a reboot and see if it is gone.

those icons are from intelliscreen, not status notifier. disable them in intellicreen's preferences

No it's not. I tried that. It puts up another SMS icon if I have intelliscreen status bar icons on... So it's not the same one.

I reinstalled intelliscreen using the reinstall feature... Nothing.

Status Notifier was uninstalled already.

You have a weird setup... Mine are all labeled.

I'm just gonna restore... None of this is working.

I think Intelliscreen might of been the problem. I restored the phone and put it back on. The SMS icon on the task bar stayed there after I read my SMS... I turned it off and rebooted the phone. It's gone now. I'm not sure why doing this before restoring didn't work at all.
