Though the iPhone is small compare to the other smart phones,
I just can't imagine myself talking on such a big device.
It's nice to play with it and "play" with it but to actually talk on it?
The iPhone is a phone (people may forget that sometimes) and it's hard for me to imagine people holding such a big device next to their ear..

what do you think?

i think your answer lies within the first sentance of your post....

smart phones for the most part are bigger than normal phones and i suppose you just have to accept that... but im sure people that already use a smart phone wouldnt mind holding a smaller one... its just something you have to get used to... its always a big change going from a regular phone to any smartphone..

Not to mention the inevitable Iphone Nano which will cater to those who want a smaller phone. I'm sure apple has something like this in their pipeline...

lol, that would be nice. Too bad the current iphone coming out only has as much memory as a nano! :p

i think you're overestimating the size of the iphone. the overall dimensions are practically the same as a 5g ipod, only half an inch taller. so if you have a video ipod, hold that in your hand and take it to your ear like you would your phone and ask if that's too big. i think it's a great size and don't think it's too big at all.

When I first got my blackberry I thought that it was going to be awkward to hold and put upto my face... now that I've used it for a while it seems perfectly normal. If you switch from a "normal" phone to a "smart" phone I'm sure it's a regular thing to think that the size will be too big
