Hi all,

I’ve now got a new iPhone SE 2020, a much bigger phone for me.

Before that, I had the original iPhone SE. Small phone, could do everything with one hand! Missing it already :)

I've sorted the "reach ability" option to bring down the screen, with two touches of the home button.

However, I still have an issue with Safari. When surfing the Internet, I normally have web pages open, which I refresh throughout the day. To do this, I click the top right refresh button, to get the page to refresh its data.

For example, weather websites.

Hope you could give me tips on how to refresh Safari screens on the safari. I cannot reach the refresh button in at the normal state. Having to do the Reachability 2 taps then hit refresh, three clicks instead of one! This seems a real backwards step. Hoping there is a clever way to do the same thing.

Many thanks in advance for any tips you can give me on dealing with a larger screen size, and one hand "reach ability" issues

Cheers
Martin

NB:
I was looking at the accessibility “use in the initial touch location“ is this going along the correct lines of how to be able to do this top right click? Or am I barking up the wrong tree? Have you got any YouTube links on how to use this feature? I tried this morning, and came up with loads of l how to set it up, but not how it works!

NNB:
I’ve tried the apps, e.g. Met Office, for the UK. However pretty rubbish, the data overflows the available screen size, even on this larger SE space 2020!

Sounds like you've explored all methods available and none are to your liking so you either go back to your old phone or get used to the larger screen.

Looks to me like you've explored every possibility.

The refresh button for Firefox is on the bottom.
Hi Brian,

That’s a great idea about using Firefox! Never even occurred to me to use a different type of browser on the iPhone.

I will now investigate Firefox :)

I worked out a Work around

iPhone shortcuts

I recorded a Shortcuts, to open Safari, and then open the Met Office website for my area.

I have a shortcut icon on my front page

I now can just hit that, and it would automatically go to Safari and show me a refreshed Met office forecast! :)
