I can’t send photos /memojis etc to android phones - help I can’t talk to my teenage daughters !!!

I upgraded from an iPhone 8 to an iPhone 11 yesterday. My wife has an android phone (I know, she wouldnt listen). Since I upgraded I cannot send a photo or emoji, basically anything that isnt plain text to her (or any other android phone).

I can quite happily send to another Iphone without problem. I have checked with the provider and its nothing wrong with the "contract" as I said it was working perfectly before I literally switched phones. Please help me, I'm struggling to communicate with my wife without pictures/memes/gifs etc.

I have also tested to other Android's and they will not accept anything either.

I’ve been on chat for ages with the Apple geniuses, they couldn’t help apart from it will be a problem with my carrier, which I doubt as it worked fine yesterday on my old iPhone - the only thing I’ve done is change the phone - nothing elsr

Go to settings/Messages/ Send as SMS when iMessage is unavailable.

I’ve been there done that, SMS is on, it still doesn’t work
I’ve also signed out and back in to iMessage
I’ve reset the network settings
I’ve tried everything I can think of
