I can't wait - new imac

Well I have finally ordered a new Imac 20 inch 2.4.

I ordered it over 10 days ago and it is still in China and not expected until the middle of the month when the ship sails in.

I am getting really fed up waiting.

I have been without a computer for about 3 weeks since 1 sold my old tower and laptop to get a new imac.

I hope that it is worth the wait!

Middle of the month?!?! Hell, I ordered mine on the 26th and it's supposed to arrive today... I thought I was going to burst.

Man, I'd be having some serious withdrawal issues if I was without a computer that long. Although, it will be worth the wait. Good luck!

Don't trust the tracking 100%. I've seen them delivered multiple times when the tracking said they were still overseas...

I ordered mine on 22/10/07 and its expected to arrive 28/11/07!!!


Well over a month! it was supposed to be 4 days...not 4 weeks.


Massive demand for imacs since Leopard came out according to an update email i got from Apple.

Luckily for me, the rig I'm planning on purchasing this week allows me to go into the Apple store and purchase it. It'll take 30 minutes tops.

I feel your pain though. I had my computer in repair a few years back, and was stuck w/o a system for a month. It was sooo hard, especially since I'm a Computer Science major and was playing WoW @ the time. Withdrawals to the max.

I know it's too late but it would have been wise to order your iMac first and wait until shipping time to sell your existing computer since Apple doesn't bill your credit card until they actually ship it. Can't be completely mad at just Apple.

That's good to know that I wont be billed until it is shipped. They did not tell me that when I spoke to Apple the other day.

I just hope that the ship does not sink on the way over!!!!!!
