iPad I completely messed up my iPad 2 iOS 7.1.2

Hi All,

Looking desperately for some help please. Foolishly I did a "Reset All Settings" on my ipad 2 wifi. I know this is a big no no but god knows where my mind was.

Nothing worked, Cydia was still accessible via safari however no icon was present on the springboard. I was unable to install or delete anything. I tried a couple of things like deleting "com.apple.mobile.installation.plist file" and updating the cydia deb file in the auto installer folder both through ifunbox. I did attempt a re-jailbreak through pangu how it just stated "this device is already jailbroken". Nothing worked so I decided to give up but rather than do a restore I decided to try a semi restore first, still nothing then I attempted to do "Erase All Content and Settings" to see if it did anything other than an endless boot loop.

Here's where it gets interesting...

Rather than an endless boot loop I can now install any tweak however nothing is visible on the springboard. I installed linktunes and activator and this works fine however I also installed ifile and moviebox and these did not appear on the springboard.

Can anyone suggest trying anything different please before I just restore and update to IOS 8? Thanks

I had the same issue on my jailbroken iPad Air. I had 'refreshed' it via iLEX RAT and ended up with an iPad that was jailbroken, yet no Cydia icon let alone any tweak icon.
Tweaks (like iCleaner Pro) wouldn't work yet tweaks that showed up in 'settings' would.

Which iLex version did you use? The one in cydia named "iLEX R.A.T." or "iLEX R.A.T. (iOS7) the specialist beta" ?

I used the iOS7 version.
