I had my iphone in my pants (no case). I picked them up off the floor, and my iphone flew out of my pants, and fortunately landed screen first onto the floor. I pick up my fallen friend and notice a big ass crack on the screen. It is still usable, but I am pretty sure that is glass. Will Apple replace it? Do I Ebay? Or...?

i have been told by the genius' at the apple store that they will cover up to one crack on a screen if you need a replcement due to some issue with the phone, ie, battery doesn't hold charge, hands free mic no longer works, or whatever issue you have. if you have more than 1 crack then you have to pay something

lol my screen is covered in cracks...

Everything else works fine.

if its clearly dropped damage, i dont think apple will cover that...if it was a tiny cracks in the screen that havent spread yet (problem with some 3G and 3GS) they will replace it.

Im guessing you didnt have it in a case? if not, i would spend a few bucks and get something that can take a impact...silicon or rubberish type of material....i picked up a otterbox impact silicon case for 7$ off amazon a few days ago. Once your phone is fixed or replaced, spend the 7$ =) i know its not as sexy and stream line when its not in a case, but it will possibly save you on damaging your phone.

Good luck though man...

i had one that was dropped, and when i took it back to apple for battery issues, i was told they cover 1 crack, if there had been more i would have had to pay to cover part of the replacement

It's certainly worth trying. You never know with Apple. My friend brought hers in (one big crack) and they said they didn't cover damage to the screen from dropping it. More recently, she brought her Macbook Pro in because the video cable needed to be replaced. When she got it back, they had replaced the whole case "because it was dented" even though they don't cover cosmetic defects!
