I have had my macbook for a little over two weeks now and I gotta tell you, I AM STOKED about it. I just tried front row for the first time tonight and It floored me...the speed of this machine is incredible, the design is sexy as hell, and OSX makes a lot more sense than WINXP. I have been a windows user my whole life and was very concerned about switching to OSX (as some of you that have read my post for the past few months may know). Anyways, everything I used on WINXP (IRC, for example) have great OSX counterparts that work EVEN BETTER than their Windows versions. I still have a windows machine as a desktop that would have cob webs on it by now if my girlfriend didnt use it to play bejeweled.

I am already planning my mac desktop as I type this. I know these things are expensive and for half the price you could get a Dell thats "just as good". But trust me future switchers, THEY ARE NOT JUST AS GOOD WHICH IS WHY THEY COST HALF THE PRICE!!!

I spent a few months deciding on the mac book...now I need to to decide between a mac mini or an imac...hmmmm

its not really just a computer, this little thing has become my computer, my stereo, my television, and my study buddy. And it all works perfectly.

I set up a shared network with itunes so I can listen to my roommates music and watch the television shows he has in his itunes...its great.

While I'm happy you've found your lifemate, please do realize that it is just a computer. Oh and get the iMac.

:D

I'm just trying to steer him away from the overpriced, underfeatured Mac Mini. The Mini serves a purpose, but as a multipurpose computer, the iMac does a much better job.

chill buddy its just a computer lol

hmmm, I wasnt impressed when someone said that too me the last time. I was going on a coach to Italy (From the UK, bah, 24 hours on a coach, I could have got to Australia again on a plane in the same time, but thats beside the point) for a School Skiing trip and my Teachers BF (Who was a t**t, in the general sense of the word) had a brand new Powerbook, and he literally threw it in the overhead compartment, I said "Wooooow! Thats a Mac your throwing about there" he went "Shut up, its just a computer"

Welllllllllll, I swore a few times, I was only 14 at the time and ended up missin the first night out, grounded to me room. Worth it tho...
