I have been a Windows user for about 15 years now and was sick of reinstalling Windows each year because it got slow. Slow booting, virus, spyware, firewall, & everything.
Last Sept. I went to the Denver Apple store and bought the 20" iMac. What a shock!!!! I couldn't believe how cool the iMac's are. I got it home and instantly ordered 2 gigs of ram. It is the best move ever.
My wife keeps getting my PC junk so I found a refurb 20" imac at apple.com about 3 weeks ago so I bought that for her and now I don't have to deal with the constant crashes and trouble getting on the internet she had before.
I just got in the new Airport extreme and that helped my home network dramatically. I even got it to work with my Xbox 360 and Wii. Cool.
Now this week I had to travel on biz and am sick of my windows notebook so I bought a Macbook. I got it to my hotel and wasn't really happy with the screen size and the glossy screen. So I checked the refurbs on apple.com and found a MBP C2D for $1,599 and ordered it. I took the macbook back and forgot the remote so I had to go back to my hotel to get it. Once I saw the MBP's on display I had to have one now. So I went back and canceled my refurb order and bought a new MBP 15" and had to pay the restocking fee - sucked!!. Only a difference of $800 but well worth it. I am impatient and could have saved $400 with the refurb but didn't want to have a chance to inherit someone elses headaches.
The MBP is so much better than the MB. The keyboard feel, larger scree, matted screen, larger HD. Just about everything.
Sorry for the novel but in 5 months I now own 3 macs and am loving every min. of it. I am done for good with PC's and will never look back. Hey I still have Parallels to fall back if there is a can't miss app. but so far I haven't.
Also the AppleCare warranties are killing me. I have now spent about $700 for warranty.
The only gripe so far is the logitch bluetooth mouse I got with the MBP. The scroll wheel is really stiff. Any suggestions?

I just got my first Mac (MacBook Pro) and I too am loving it. I had some serious trouble getting it to work with my Windows machine, but other than that it's like computing bliss. I also bought the wireless Mighty Mouse to go with it. It works well, and most people really like the scroll ball. My only complaint is how hard it is to squeeze the side buttons, but it's loosened up a bit over the last few days and I've gotten more used to it. I only bought it for the looks, because I think that's what I love most about my MBP. Also got a custom made case for it, and I'm thinking about getting the wireless keyboard, although I've heard it's not that good.
