So okay, Apple claims the 7300GT in the 24-Inch will beat the X1600 on the 20-Inch model by a considerable bit (47fps vs 30fps in Q4 for example), however, I don't really get this... I recently got a Mac Pro (returned the 20" iMac I had) and it has a 7300GT, I didn't really expect much of it (it is a low end card) but I at least expected it to be just as good as the X1600 on the iMac (which comes clocked at 500/500) and it turns out its considerably slower (a LOT slower).
So I'm wondering, whats different between the iMac's 7300GT and Mac Pro's 7300GT, can anyone get the clockspeeds on the iMac's 7300GT, I noticed its GDDR3 and its actually DDR2 on the Mac Pro so maybe the clocks are different as well? I've seen some boxed 7300GT be clocked at 600/700 when the 7300GT in Mac Pro tops out at 480/500 (original clocks are like 330/300).
So yeah basically, can anyone with a stock 24" iMac get the clocks of the 7300GT in there? Preferably under Windows.
