I don't have a Leopard Disk....

I got my new Imac last week and I finally got around to printing out the install manual for the Boot Camp assistant and it says that I need my Leopard Disk... my Imac came with everything installed and no disks were included... did I get ripped off or is this sometimes the case when everything is already installed?

new apple computers come with the install disc. many private used sellers will put leopard on a computer they're selling and not include a disc. technically, it's not legitimate. that doesn't mean it won't work, but you will be limited, especially when doing something like this!

more to the point though, you can install boot camp without the leopard disc. first, download bootcamp drivers and burn them to disc ( http://www.apple.com/support/bootcamp/ ), run boot camp assistant, restart and insert a windows installation disc, finish windows install, run boot camp drivers.

voila.

The update from Apple's site will not work unless you install from the DVD first.

To the OP, if your system came bundled with Leopard then I think you want the grey DVD labelled Install Disc 1.

Ok thanks for your help, it looks as if I have to wait for the reseller to get back to me and explain why I didn't have the disk included.... otherwise i'm up the creek so to speak. thanks for your help
