Enough to make to make it revolutionary. Apple should have looked a couple steps further. People who are going to buy a 3rd category device are more then likely tech savvy... which means that its going to receive extra criticism. While the iPhone has some of the same problems the iPad does (no multitasking, no flash, etc..), it's a phone. Almost everybody has a phone, which is why they are able to sell so many of them.

For me personally, watching the event unfold today via live blogging, I was really excited, then as the presentation went on, that excitement went down, and down even further when the specs were posted on Apple's website.

I don't know why the hell Apple leaves itself open to all this criticism, when it truly could have created an awesome device. I love Apple, I love my MacBook, I love my iPhone, and I want to love the iPad, but I can't.

I realize this post is similar to tons of other posts and people's thoughts, but I just like getting my thoughts written down so I can sleep, haha

yah. instead of creating the ultra-portable tablet computer, they did the American thing, and supersized the iPod

Hey with the obesity problem spreading, there could actually be a market for this thing. :p
slogan "parents, this is the iPod for your fat kid"

While I'm buying the iPad, I'm disappointed that there's no multitasking YET. And where's a camera?

To actually be on the "iPads" side with something for a change, can you actually see yourself using this as a camera? seriously?

Flash should die and HTML will replace it. YouTube already transitioned to HTML5 and I see most of the industry following suit.

I'm sure the camera and multi tasking support will come in later software updates or the jailbreaking community for the iPhone will figure out a way to hack the iPad. If you look past the public charade, you notice that Jobs does things in steps. He doesn't let the first generation product have ALL the features you expect it to have.

I was a little underwhelmed I admit. I wanted it to be a little more Mac than iPhone. It's true potential will be revealed when apps start showing up for it. There's a lot of new possibilities that people aren't thinking of. Things that neither an iPhone nor a MacBook are capable of. I'm really into making music and I can think of tons of cool uses for the tablet in that area. Also for photo editing, maybe not for pros, but for your average person to have a 10 inch touch screen to work with will be amazing.

yeah, they could have at least had tegra 2 for the games, since i read about it being a gaming device or game changing.

i was actually prepared to pay an entry level macbook price and people will pay that, only for more more space and 3g,wots that all about lol. 6 different price ranges, come on.

it could have been so much more. a netbook with duo atoms and ion with a swivel touch screen is more like it,for me

but remember, they will have cameras in the next revamp and those updates will carry on for a few years, thats how they make there money

It's not about who has the most advanced hardware. Microsoft plays that game and has lost so far. Apple's touting the 140K apps, not the iPad's hardware spec.
