It seems like BigSur insists on synchronizing my searches across different windows and apps. Any time I search for text with the "Find" command (cmd-F), my Mac assumes that is what I want to search for EVERYWHERE.
I often want to search for different text in two different Safari windows, but changing from window A to window B causes window B to start using the search from window A.
This also occurs across apps and ruins my workflow. Searching for a keyword or variable in Xcode keeps getting disrupted by searching for text in Safari.
Is there any way to disable this? I couldn't find any obvious candidates the plist files, but there must be a way to turn it off.
