I'm sorry, but I have to say goodbye to this forum. It's been an absolute blast spending so much time (oh, so much time) on this forum over the past few weeks, but a number of things have resulted in me having to cancel my macbook pro order, and go in for a comparable (similarly priced, slightly higher spec'd) Thinkpad instead.

I just I didn't feel so bad :(

Sigh.

I don't kid when I say I nearly puked a little in my mouth.

And when I pressed it, I had to go through it all over again when it asked me "do you want to cancel all orders?"

Aw man...you cancelled my order too? Why didn't you ask first?

Oh, it meant all of your orders...never mind.

;) :D

Haha, that did cheer me up a tad.

They really ought to look into rewording 'all your orders' with 'your only order with us you freaking moron'.

I wouldn't feel all that bad posting from a ThinkPad, they're fairly well respected 'round these parts. Stay on, have fun, we don't really discriminate here, there's lots of PC users on the forums.

Those ThinkPads are still pretty sweet systems, if I had to get a PC that would be the first one I'd look at.

Bloody hell though, it must've really sucked having to press the "cancel" button.

You can still post here. People w/o macs post here all the time. Sorry to see you go though.

Yeah, it sounds like you have to stop posting because you don't own a mac anymore. Honestly, I haven't owned a mac since the Apple IIe. Just two weeks ago I bought my friend's iPod nano. However, I've been posting here for years :D

No need to leave the forum wahgnube, PeeCee...er, I mean PC users are welcome.

In all due seriousness, sorry to hear that you had to cancel your MacBook Pro order and I do hope that you decide to stay! :) Hope that you enjoy your new Thinkpad, they are supposed to be very nice computers. :)

dmw007, Toreador93, mkrishnan: Thanks again.

And I have to admit, I am trying to avoid frequenting this place because it's so addicting (in a good way?), and I really need to spend some time way to get real work done.

No, it's not that I hoped not buying a Macintosh will make that easier. :)

Understandable! MR is addicting (and yes, I hope its in a good way :) ).

I myself have not been able to frequent MR as often due to a busy semester at college. :( Getting work done should be a priority...but remember the saying, "all work & no play makes Jack a dull boy". So visit us here at MR when you can wahgnube. :) :) :)

No need to stop posting! Heck... I had to give up my two aborted attempts to get a PowerBook. As others have said, ThinkPads are great computers - I had one. The keyboard is even better than the Apple - too bad about the OS, but hey IBM or now Lenovo, makes the laptops as secure as they can possibly get.

Man, that reminds me of when I broke up with my boyfriend and we had to "cancel" the relationship on the facebook, (haha), it says something like, "are you sure you want to end your relationships with so and so?" Like I really needed that extra stab!

Don't feel too badly. I have a Thinkpad T43 and I still visit these forums often to give advice, opinions and still to ask for help from time to time. Don't be a stranger and enjoy your Thinkpad. They are great computers.

HAHA I know exaclty what you mean. It is that extra kick in the pants in an already unpleasant time. Oh the joys of facebook ;)
