Imac = Home
Macbook Pro = Work
Ipad = School/everything in between the first 2

does this set up seem like how anyone else is/does use it?

MBP for iTunes, pics and general heavy computing.
iPhone for calls and on the road Internet, mail and apps.
iPad for general Internet browsing, apps and email around the house.

I see the pad in iPad meaning "around the house", not "electronic pad of paper". :D

Wirelessly posted (iPhone: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 3_1_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/528.18 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0 Mobile/7E18 Safari/528.16)

I figured out what to have for breakfast. I think I will start a new thread for that.

I love how people just buy and item simply to just buy it and have it...without knowing the reason they need to buy it, and coming up with a reason after the fact....

This thing gets much less hot in my lap than the ole laptop while browsing and watching tv, my favorite past time...

My setup is as follows:

1) Windows 7 Pro for heavy use and iTunes
2) Tablet with Win 7 Pro for work and school
3) iPad for surfing in bed and the sofa

Ahhh, having a job at it's best

That ipad seems kind of redundant.

I bought the iPad because I have the money to afford luxuries...I do not need a reason why I bought it.

I plan to use my ipad 3g for mostly casual internet surfing at home, I have my macbook and family iMac for projects/heavy computing stuff
I also plan to use it for school and on trips, but my itouch will still be used for stuff on the go

I love how people think it's their business how others spend their money.

Mac Mini for coding/photoshop/photography/music at home, iPad for web surfing around the house.

Macbook for coding on the road/in class, iPad for whatever else.

I still need my macbook since I do iPhone OS development, and I doubt they will ever port XCode to iPad...(That would be pretty sweet though, using Interface Builder directly on the device...)

I've found I prefer reading just about everything on my iPad, probably because I can move the display around how ever I want, while with my Macbook I am limited because of the size/weight/shape. Plus the IPS panel is beautiful even at an angle :)

Use? How about telling us what you USE it for rather than when you'll use it? Is it just a web browser? Game machine? Something to get some work done on?

So far the only use for an iPad I have is to reduce the balance of my bank account. Oh wait, they do make a pretty decent door stop wedge when placed face down on the floor. :D JMHO

Ha lol good point

Well I am declaring my English Major next week so having all my books condensed in one place is going to really nice, note taking, having it synced up with mobile me to all my other devices to help keep myself organized.

I love games so there will be plenty on there.

I want to get into comic books, but have never wanted to buy one so the Marvel app will probably sway me. I never liked the idea of buying something so fragile

Really? People need to find ways to use their iPad? I've had I'd for a week and I've already done a fair amount of gaming, web surfing and watching movies. I'm enjoying this little device more than I initially thought I would!

I use the iPad for other things which make it more convenient than my tablet or PC such as watchings movies, playing games, and I am testing to see if I replace my Kindle for this. It makes it faster to just grab the iPad and begin surfing than the Tablet.
