haha!

I was constantly in contact with this store, up to the highest levels, made lots of personal shopper appointments. Made myself well known with the staff. That's about the only way you can reserve one of the very few units that come in. And of course if you come off as a high roller I think that can help too.

I freakin love this thing!

Got over 6 hours of battery life during my regular use.

This thing makes like no noise either. Insanely quiet. LOVE IT.

Congrats!

I've been reading that 6 hours isn't typical and was sort of disappointed in that.

I hope I do as well!

I guess it really depends on what you do, but I am definitely impressed since my old mac laptop couldn't do nearly as well with the basics.

Congrats!

Glad to see that you finally got it! I got one yesterday too and am typing on it right now! :D

I called the Jacksonville Apple store and they had gotten about 10 in and I had them put one on hold for me and drove down and got it! I lost my discount with both Apple and Amazon and it was a 5 hour round trip drive, but it was well worth it! Love this thing!

No regrets

I went down to the Apple store at Barton Creek Mall in Austin and was the first one there 10 minutes before they opened. Once inside I asked the sales associate if they had any MBA in stock. The answer was no sorry. I hopped in my car and drove to an appointment and while I was driving call the other apple store. Well they had it up in North Austin but only the 1.6 GHZ version. I called back to the South store and they said, oh yes we do have the Air in stock, and we have both configurations. I drove back and picked up the 1.8 SSD version.

Funny thing is that I just dropped over 3k on this thing and i have no regrets so far. I must say that it is faster than I expected based on the posts on the net.

Who knows, I am sure the joy will run out quick once something else new is announced but for now. This laptop has been a joy and spending the money has actually made me happy unlike past purchases that I have regretted the minute I left the store.

I've never loved a computer purchase as much as this one. I liked my first mac, but not nearly as much as this one. What I really like is none of my mac's have broken down or exploded. Reason why I switched to mac: 2 tower pc's blew up in a 18 month period. The first one burned out and never turned on again, then I replaced it and that one caught on fire lol.

I'm excited to see what rev 2 looks like lol.
Now what would be a hot announcement

MBA rev 2 and iPhone rev 2 at the same time with some shared features like built in 3g ;)
