Well I think i'll just give up now

2 new imacs in less than 2 weeks and both are faulty. First imac had grey lines going across the screen and got more noticeable as i use it, 2nd imac now mysteriously lost files for expose/space and sharing without anyone touching the imac and now i have grey blotches on this screen that apple can't explain any of these problems. Don't get me wrong when i called apple they were excellent and patient when trying to resolve the problems but they couldn't explain why it is doing this. I bought more RAM for it and installed it today, you'd expect 2Gb to 4Gb to be a good increase in performance and speed but its runs so much slower now. Oh and i only noticed when i was on the phone to apple that my box for the imac that was supposed to b brand new is the same box that my old one was in as it has the same serial number.

I had a bad experience with my first ever ma, the powermac G3 and after many years i was told by a number of people that macs were so much better and i thought for a long time weather to get one and decided to get one but the experience hasn't been good, I love my mac in a way but on sunday i am taking it back for a refund

I am disappointed but there's not much I can do

i can but I don't see why now, I returned the first one and they just gae me another that is also faulty, i was considering paing extra for the new imac but the price does seem steeper so a refund is my best option :(
