I got a blue screen when running dxdiag.exe

I was running the dxdiag.exe utility (comes with DirectX, used to test DirectX). As soon as it opened, I got a blue screen and a restart. Plus, the hard drive seemed to be making some new weird noises after this crash. It sounds okay now, but it got me worried. Has anyone else here had similar problems?
