Me too. I never got the original 30 day extension email and it took Apple forever to credit it to me. This was fast.

On The Nickel, over there....
Yeah, I didn't get an email from Apple concerning the first free extension either. And this addition was very quick. Maybe the guy that's now in charge of MM is taking his job of getting it all straightened out seriously. At least I can hope...

I've had my 30 day extension, but still waiting for the 60 days.

I'm hopeless with counting months, so I ended up counting from the 5th of May right to today so see how many days I've used.

I have a trial subscription.

Apple added the 60 days to my trial expiration date, but took away everything (including the 30 days) from the subscription start date. My subscription start date is now in September, and it used to be in October, before Apple "added" the 60 days. Now, if I subscribe, it'll be as if I never got either the 30 or 60 day extension.

What an excellent way of making trial subscribers want to buy the subscription.

Not.

My trial got extended today

I jumped to 110 days left on my original 60 day trial. SInce I received both extensions, I would have been down to 20 days otherwise. I am very hopeful that Apple can get things worked out in that time frame. I very much want this type of service, but it needs to be stable before I will drop a dime on it.

I am also hoping that they will eventually implement read/write shared calendars that sync to all devices. I know ... it's just a dream!!!

You'd better take a look at your Account Options (on the Accounts page, click on the "Options" button). On mine, it shows that, if I subscribe now, I lose both my 30- and 60-day extensions, even though I have 100+ days left before account expiration. Hopefully, yours won't show that.

I posted something similiar on another thread. Could you provide you dates so I can see if similiar logic to mine.

It's the same (although I think you have a typo in your subscription start date). Mine:

So, I've effectively lost both the 30- and 60-day extensions.

No typo, I did a cut/paste. I lost 30 days with this last update (was 09/10/08). Crazy.

That's really weird. You should have gotten an initial 60-day trial period, not a 30-day one. If you started in July, your initial trial (before the 30- and 60-day extensions) should have ended in September.

I am not sure what you are talking about ... I have no plans to subscribe unless MM stablizes enough to be trustable. If I do that, I will wait until a few days before my "trial" ends to actually subscribe. Apple is fairly clear that if you buy and activate a subscription, you lose any remaining "trial" time or at least any extensions.

I don't have any problems with losing the initial trial time. My complaints stem from losing the extensions that regular subscribers get, even though the trial account was just as active as a regular account at the cutoff date.

Your MobileMe account settings page contains a "start subscription date". So, if I decide to subscribe, do I get one year from the "start subscription date", or one year from whenever I subscribe? The existence of the "start subscription date" implies that you get one year from that date, and not from whenever your subscribe. My start subscription date implies that, if I wait until just before my trial account expires to subscribe, I only get 9 additional months of service, instead of 12.

Still not working correctly?

Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. They need to get it to the point where it works all the time. There's no point in marketing it as push email if it doesn't always push to your phone. There are still many times where my emails don't come in until I go into the mail app on my iphone.
