I got my MBP today! some questons though

Okay so i got my new SR MBP 17" and its aaaawesome!

Ive got some questions though.

How do i copy something from an ftp server in firefox? It was easier in windows when it was opened in the explorer, but now i can't seem to copy files :S

Is VLC for mac as good as it is for pc?

FireFox is able to render and handle FTP pages. Do you need a full FTP client instead?

VLC OS X > VLC Windows

Ah now i get it. I drag the file into the download window that firefox has available^^sorry for the nubish questions
