so every night, my son watches stuff on netflix on his own apple tv. tonight, i cant get it to connect to netflix, rebotted several times and its hung trying to set the date and time, but is connected to the wireless. netflix from the menu cant even be selected....but yet hes watching netflix on my ipad from the same wireless network....so it cant be my wireless setup....

is there a cliffnotes on a solution anywhere that I wont have to weed thru 50 pages of argument?

Well, the first thing I'd try would be to reboot the router and grab an ethernet cable and connect that way. It is still possible that its your wireless connection.

did all of that, 3 of my ATV2's are wired, and 1 is wireless, and they all responded the same. even had verizon reboot the fiber converter box outside the house to see if it picked up speed....which it did, but for netflix to function on my ipad wirelessly didnt make sense....my guess is that netflix on my ps3 also functioned as it should.

I will mess with it again this afternoon and see if I get the same results.

Unplug ATV, router, and modem. Reconnect. Works for me every time. Also, make sure you've ran every update available for your ATV.
